#BrowGame Forever Strong – Pictorial for the Misguided Brows

Hey yall! So if you don’t have thick, luxurious eyebrows naturally then you probably know just how REAL the eyebrow struggle can be. I’ve been there, more then I would like to admit. With years of trial, error and complete failure I’ve stepped up my brow game to the level of “Fleek” (Still trying to figure out who Fleek is, but anyways). I’ve been asked a ton of times to do a tutorial showing how I achieve my brows, I’ve avoided making one because let’s be honest… there are a zillion eyebrow tutorials out there, but here we are. Your eyebrow pictorial has been delivered!

What you’re going to need:

  • Eyeshadow Primer – I used Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion
  • Eyebrow Pencil – I live by Covergirl’s Brow & Eye Maker
  • Concealer – Aim for the same shade or one shade lighter then your foundation color (I use MAC NC40 concealer)
  • Eye Shadow – Go with a shadow around the same tone as your hair. My hair is black right now so I am using MAC Espresso which is a deep brown. NEVER EVER EVER use black pencil or shadow, unless you want to be turned into a meme about how you lost the #browgame)
  • Brushes – You need a Spoolie Brush or clean mascara wand, a thin concealer brush, and an angled brush.

Eyebrow Game Toolkit

Let’s Go!

Browgame Pictorial

  1. Start off with a freshly cleaned and moisturized face.
  2. Apply a small dot of eye shadow primer to each brow and rub in until its evenly distributed (Primer will make your hairs feel a little stiff… and that’s the goal).
  3. Lightly brush your brows into place using your spoolie brush.
  4. Make sure your brow pencil is sharp. With your pencil, lightly outline the bottom of your eyebrows following their natural shape.
  5. Following the natural shape, lightly outline the top of your brows.  Use a very light hand when lining the front of your brows for a more natural look. If you want a more defined arch, you can raise the outline a little above your natural line at the arch.
  6. Now that you have your brows outlined lightly, fill in your brows with your brow pencil using a light feathering motion.
  7. Using your concealer and thin concealer brush, carefully line the concealer right below the lower line you created using your pencil. Brush the concealer downward until it is all smooth and even… remember less is more. A libattle concealer goes a long way. Repeat this step on the upper brow line. Concealer is going to give your brows that clean finished look.
  8. With the eye shadow color of your choice and your angled brush, lightly brush over the brow pencil.  Start off lightly and build it up to avoid any harsh shadow lines. I start off mid brow and work the shadow towards the arch and end. I do the front of my brows last, using very little powder and the lightest hand possible. This again is going to create a very natural look. Once you’ve applied the shadow you can go back with your spoolie brush to assure the shadow if evenly applied and your hairs are all in place.

Steps 7 & 8 can be switched if you feel more comfortable applying the concealer after you’ve applied your shadow.

I hope that some way, some how this pictorial has made some kind of sense to you. There are many ways to achieve the perfect brow and believe me, I have tried them all. These are just the products and steps that have worked best for me and keep my brows looking consistent.  Practice, practice, practice, and remember… eyebrows are sisters not twins!

May your eyebrows be ever in your favor! XOXO
